Becky Holder's Olympics
August 17, 2008 -Congratulations to CSDEA member and international event rider Becky Holder, and Courageous Comet, on a job well done! We're all proud of you and wish you a safe trip home. Thanks for sharing the journey with all of us.
To view updates we shared during her journey to qualify for the team, and while competing in the Olympics, go to the USEF Official Web Site and the Team Holder site (which also includes photos and email updates from Becky and her husband, Tom). To review the eventing scoreboard go to NBCOlympics.com.
For all those wanting to know more about the donations raised and matched by members and the local horse community to help sponsor her amazing journey, please check the next edition of the CSDEA Cross Country magazine (arriving in September).
Don't miss her appearance as guest speaker at the CSDEA Banquet in December. I'm sure we'll learn many more insights into what it took to make the team, and what it was like to compete for the US Olympic Team in Hong Kong.
